Inspired by "An unwanted blessing is a poisonous gift".
The restrictive feeling of having to be an example to the world in order to please God and not bring shame to the family, and of subordinating all one's own desires, goals, and needs to this higher goal, leads to a constant anxious effort to avoid mistakes. Healthy psychological development is hardly possible under the constant pressure to be perfect. Life is learning, and those who learn can and should make mistakes. Kids should have the right to learn from their mistakes. The fear of disapproval under critical scrutiny leads to a life of fear of failure and guilt. In God's eyes, there is no one who is not good enough to receive its/her/his grace. This does not require perfection, for it is God's nature to forgive and pardon both small and even huge mistakes with sincere repentance.
"Two just Bi-friended" is the second part and concludes my project.
